The Saratoga Springs High School Inventeam wanted to congratulate the Inventeam students from Cesar Chavez High School in Laveen, Arizona and Oak Ridge High School in Tennesse. These students were given the amazing opportunity of presenting their accomplishments at a White House Science Fair. The fair celebrates the winners of a broad range of science, technology, engineering, and math. President Obama noted, “If you win the NCAA championship, you come to the While House. Well, if you’re a young person and you produce the best experiment or design, the best hardware or software, you ought to be recognized for that achievement too.” It is great to see that the progress of technology and innovation is finally being recognized as an outstanding achievement as other accomplishments such as sports are more often acknowledged. Thanks to the Lemelson-MIT program, it is obvious that doors have opened and given young engineers the opportunity to achieve success.
