Portable Memory Shortfalls

In today's portable devices, memory storage is often an issue and almost always a central feature. The main problems with our current memory systems are excessive use of power, lack of capacity, ease of use, and speed. There are already several methods by which portable memory is stored, but none of them fulfill all of these criteria to a satisfactory degree.

As smartphones and tablets are becoming more prevalent in today's society, the issue of memory must be addressed. If one were to find a more cost-efficient and effective way to increase memory storage, portable devices could be cheaper and much more useful.
I agree with Sam. I think that portable memory is going to be more prevalent in the future. I also think that developing more efficient memory media will be important with the rise of cloud computing and will be important for the future of computing.
As technology becomes smaller and smaller, it is also increasing its function-ability. I have yet to find a device that performs fast, has a good battery, and holds lots of memory. If any kind of technological advancement was made in order to encourage all three of the topics, this would bring huge strives in the direction of the digital world.
Now more than ever, as cloud-based storage companies control more and more of the data we consumers supposedly own, it is imperative that we possess our own storage media. Any innovation that makes local storage more affordable, capacious, or readily available to consumers would be more than welcome.
